YD's Gravitate program includes the Certificate III in Christian Ministry and Theology (11236NAT). During 2026 it is delivered on behalf of Eastern College Australia (RTO 22065). From 2027 it will be delivered on behalf of Tov Academy (RTO 88037). It's a nationally recognised VET qualification available to Year 11 and 12 students.

Our commitment to privacy

Youth Dimension is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information. We collect, use, store and disclose personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Because our training is delivered in Victoria, personal information provided to the Victorian Government is also protected under the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic) and, where health information is collected, the Health Records Act 2001 (Vic).

Why we collect your personal information

When you enrol in the Gravitate program, we collect your personal information to process and manage your enrolment, deliver training and support services to you, and meet our legal and reporting obligations. If you do not provide the information requested, we may not be able to enrol you in the course, and you may not be able to obtain a government training subsidy (if applicable).

Disclosure to Tov Academy (RTO 88037)

The Certificate III in Christian Ministry and Theology (11236NAT) is delivered by Youth Dimension on behalf of Tov Academy (RTO 88037), the registered training organisation (RTO) responsible for the quality of the training and assessment and for issuing your qualification. Youth Dimension will share your enrolment information with Tov Academy to facilitate and manage your enrolment. Tov Academy handles your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and its own privacy policy, available at tov.org.au/academy. You may also contact Tov Academy on 1300 721 397 regarding information held by the RTO.

Disclosure to the National VET Data Collection

Under the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator Act 2011 (Cth) (NVETR Act), the RTO is required by law to disclose the personal information collected about you to the National VET Data Collection kept by the National Centre for Vocational Education Research Ltd (NCVER). The NCVER is responsible for collecting, managing, analysing and communicating research and statistics about the Australian VET sector. The RTO is also authorised by law under the NVETR Act to disclose your personal information to the relevant state or territory training authority.

The NCVER will collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with the law, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the NVETR Act. Your personal information may be used and disclosed by the NCVER for purposes that include:

  • populating authenticated VET transcripts
  • administration of VET
  • facilitation of statistics and research relating to education, including surveys and data linkage
  • understanding how the VET market operates, for policy, workforce planning and consumer information.

The NCVER may disclose your personal information for these purposes to the Australian Government Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR); Commonwealth, state and territory authorities (other than registered training organisations); VET regulators; and researchers engaged by the NCVER. The NCVER does not intend to disclose your personal information to any overseas recipients.

Victorian Government collection notice

The Victorian Government, through the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (the Department), develops, monitors and funds vocational education and training (VET) in Victoria. The RTO is required to provide the Department with student and training activity data, including personal information collected on the enrolment form and unique identifiers such as the Victorian Student Number (VSN) and the Commonwealth Unique Student Identifier (USI). This data is provided in accordance with the Victorian VET Student Statistical Collection Guidelines.

The Department uses student and training data, including personal information, for VET purposes including administration, monitoring and planning. Your USI may be used to verify student data, administer and audit VET providers and programs, support education-related policy and research, and assist in determining eligibility for training subsidies. As necessary and where lawful, the Department may disclose VET data, including personal information, to its contractors, other government agencies, professional bodies and other organisations for VET-related purposes, including the Commonwealth and the NCVER.

The Department's collection and handling of enrolment data and VSNs is authorised under the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic). USIs are collected and handled in accordance with the Student Identifiers Act 2014 (Cth).

Surveys

You may be contacted to participate in a student survey run by a government department, the NCVER, or a person engaged by them (for example, the NCVER Student Outcomes Survey), or in a Department-endorsed project, audit or review relating to your training. You may opt out of the survey at the time you are contacted.

Students under 18

Where a student is under 18 years of age, we will seek the consent of a parent or guardian to the collection and disclosure of the student's personal information as part of the enrolment process.

How we store and protect your information

Youth Dimension takes reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, and to destroy or de-identify information that is no longer required, subject to record-keeping obligations that apply to VET providers.

Access, correction and complaints

You have the right to request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you, and to complain if you believe your privacy has been breached. In the first instance, please contact Youth Dimension's Privacy Officer, Lindsay Tunbridge, on 03 9844 1944. You may also contact Tov Academy on 1300 721 397 regarding information held by the RTO.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (www.oaic.gov.au). Complaints about the Victorian Government's handling of your information may be made to the Office of the Victorian Information Commissioner (www.ovic.vic.gov.au).
